Japan Announces Logo Design Competition to Mark 75 Years of Japan-Pakistan Diplomatic Relations

ISLAMABAD, October 5, 2026: Japan has announced a digital logo design competition to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan, which will be celebrated throughout 2027.

The competition has been launched to mark this important milestone and celebrate the longstanding friendship, partnership and close ties between Japan and Pakistan.

Citizens of both Japan and Pakistan, as well as participants of any age residing anywhere in the world, are invited to submit original logo designs representing the 75th anniversary.

The winning design will be selected as the official logo for the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Pakistan and will be used for events and activities organized throughout 2027 to commemorate the occasion.

According to the competition guidelines, participants must submit their digital logo designs in JPEG, PDF or EPS format by email. Entries should be sent with the subject line “Logo Entry” to the Southwest Asian Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, at [email protected].

Each submission must also include a separate explanation of approximately 80 words describing the concept and meaning behind the design.

The organizers said the submitted designs must be original, previously unpublished and must not infringe upon any third-party copyrights.

Designs containing offensive, unlawful, politically or religiously promotional, culturally or socially insensitive, commercial or otherwise inappropriate content will be disqualified.

The organizers have also clarified that the use of generative AI in logo designs is not permitted.

The deadline for submitting entries is October 23, 2026, while the result is expected to be announced on the website of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs around late December 2026.

The competition provides an opportunity for creative individuals from around the world to contribute to the celebrations of a significant milestone in Japan-Pakistan relations and highlight the enduring friendship between the two countries.

For detailed information and competition guidelines, participants can visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan website.
