Ufone and British Council award UEnglish winners

Ufone and British Council recently awarded two lucky winners of ‘UEnglish’; an interactive English language learning SMS service, started by Ufone in collaboration with British council, via a prize distribution ceremony held in Lahore.

The two lucky winners, Syed Itrat Abbas Kazmi from Sialkot Cantt and Nadeem Abbas from D.G Khan were presented with two Sasmsung grand smart phones to appreciate their performance. Ufone representative Salman Rashid and British Council respresentatives, Arzu Daniel (Director English) and Bilal Ahmed (Head of Program) presented the gifts to the respective winners.

The aim of this service is to facilitate those customers who want to enhance their English language vocabulary. The service works in a simple way ascustomers receive SMS on demand with multiple choice questions based on a 1 year English learning course developed by the British Council. On responding with selected answers they receive a validation SMS of correct answers.

Commenting on this occasionSyed Sherjeel Bin Hassan, Head of VAS said, “Learning is the key to growth in life, which should continue throughout life besides its application. Through the initiative of ‘UEnglish’ we have practically tried to apply the same principle, where our emphasis has been solely on inculcation ofskillsand their application.”
