NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION CORPORATION HEADQUARTERS G-5/2 ISLAMABAD

SUBJECT: NTC Inter Region Badminton Tournament concluded
National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) headquarters retained its title and won teams event. Central Region grabbled the second position, North Region took the 3rd position in the 16th NTC all Pakistan Inter Regional Badminton Tournament which concluded here on Wednesday 30th January 2019, at Rodham Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. Mens single title won by Headquarters and South Region stood second. A large number of players belonging to different regions of the NTC and other telecos, including PTCL, Mobilink/Jazz, U-Fone, Huawei, PTA and Apollo Telecom, displayed their skill and technique in the teams event / singles and doubles events and thrilled the audience.


Honorable Federal Minister for IT& Telecom was the chief guest at the final who witnessed the final match with keen interest. MD, NTC said a keen competition was witnessed during the badminton tournament and he was impressed to see the high performance of the players. “NTC has evolved a comprehensive sports activities plan to engage its employees in healthy activities and to help them to showcase their talent in different events “, he said.
The Minister for IT& Telecom acknowledged the efforts of NTC for arranging such healthy sports activities and appreciated MD NTC Brig (R) Viqar Rasheed Khan for making excellent arrangements to hold this event in a befitting manner. Later, he gave away the prizes to the notable performers of the event.
