| Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui visited Special Communications Organization (SCO) today. On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Director General of SCO Major General Ali Farhan, HI (M). A briefing on SCO was given to minister highlighting various ongoing projects including NGMS and Pak China OFC projects. |

| The Minister praised SCO performance and congratulated the Management, for phenomenal development of IT & Telecom facilities in far flung areas of AJ&K and GB. He acknowledged the efforts and achievement of SCO, specially the state of the art NGMS core network, capable of providing 3G/4G services to its customers in the region. He also appreciated completion of phase-I of Pak China OFC project in a record time. Later Federal Minister planted a tree at SCO premises.
