Ceremony to commemorate Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir held at Embassy of Pakistan Moscow
August 5, 2023, the nation came together to observe Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, a day to commemorate the struggle of the valiant Kashmiri people for their freedom and to condemn the illegal and unilateral actions of India.
The event commenced with a serene recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthems of both Pakistan and Kashmir, resonating the unity and solidarity of the attendees with the Kashmiri cause. As a poignant reminder of the grim reality on the ground, a compelling documentary shedding light on the illegal actions taken by India in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on August 5, 2019, and its dire repercussions was screened during the ceremony.
The occasion has graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including members of the Pakistani community, who joined hands in honoring the bravery and resilience of the Kashmiri people. The Third Secretary, Mr. Muhammad Tayyab, and Third Secretary, Mr. Jetha Nand, presented heartfelt messages on behalf of President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, respectively. These messages reaffirmed Pakistan’s unyielding moral, political, and diplomatic support for the indigenous freedom struggle of the people of Kashmir.
To further raise awareness and garner international attention, a powerful photo exhibition showcasing the atrocities committed by Indian forces in IIOJK has thoughtfully arranged for the participants. The compelling images served as a stark reminder of the human suffering and rights violations faced by the Kashmiri people.
