In the ongoing 12th game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine, Peshawar Zalmi’s opening duo, Saim Ayub and captain Babar Azam, showcased their prowess by crafting a stellar partnership of 136 for the first wicket against Lahore Qalandars. The impressive stand marks their fourth century partnership in PSL 9, a joint record in the tournament’s history.
Record-Breaking Achievement
Having been put into bat first by Lahore Qalandars’ skipper Shaheen Afridi, Babar and Saim’s remarkable achievement puts them at the top of the list for the most century partnerships in PSL. Notably, they achieved this feat in just 14 innings, the lowest among other holders of the record. Mohammad Rizwan and Rilee Rossouw follow closely behind with four-century partnerships in 16 innings.
