25 Dead and 68 Hospitalized After Consuming Toxic Liquor in India

In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, 25 people have died, and 68 others have been hospitalized after consuming toxic liquor.

According to Indian media reports, in the past few days, 68 people in the Kalakurichi district of Tamil Nadu have fallen ill after consuming toxic liquor. There are fears that the death toll may rise.

Police have arrested three individuals on charges of selling the toxic liquor and have begun an investigation into the matter. Additionally, three officials from the relevant department have been suspended.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has expressed sorrow over the deaths and stated that action has been taken against the officials who failed to prevent such incidents.
