Islamabad, Pakistan – A devastating coal mine accident in Harnai, Balochistan, has claimed the lives of three miners, with two others still trapped underground.The incident occurred due to poisonous gas suffocation, according to officials. Rescue teams were immediately deployed to the scene and managed to retrieve the bodies of the three deceased miners.
“One miner was rescued alive earlier, but unfortunately, three of his colleagues succumbed to the toxic gas,” said a spokesperson for the rescue operation. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining two miners, who are believed to be trapped deep within the mine.
“We are working tirelessly to reach the trapped miners and bring them to safety,” said the spokesperson. The incident highlights the risks faced by coal miners in Pakistan, where safety concerns and accidents are all too common.
