August 11, 2026: As Pakistan marks its 79th Independence Day, the country’s leading telecommunication and ICT services provider, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) is celebrating this shared journey through its latest campaign, “Pakistan Jitna Jawan,” highlighting the company’s evolution alongside the country and its people.

The campaign draws a parallel between Pakistan’s transformation over nearly eight decades and PTCL’s own journey from a traditional telecommunications institution to a technology-led integrated ICT company. Its central thought is that being young is not defined by age, but by the ability to adapt, evolve and remain relevant as society and technology change.
The campaign film captures this evolution through familiar moments from different eras of Pakistani life, illustrating how lifestyles, aspirations and modes of communication have transformed over time. From traditional businesses to digital commerce, from analog to digital entertainment, and from handwritten letters to instant communication, the film reflects the changing ways in which Pakistanis live, work and connect.
PTCL has been part of this transformation since the country’s independence. Beginning in 1947 as the Post & Telegraph Department, the organization evolved in line with Pakistan’s growing communication requirements, becoming Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) in 1996. Over the decades, its capabilities expanded from telephony to broadband, fiber connectivity, digital services and a growing portfolio of enterprise and ICT solutions.
Today, PTCL is Pakistan’s largest integrated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, with nationwide fixed-line and fiber infrastructure and international connectivity through submarine cable systems. Its portfolio spans broadband, enterprise connectivity, cloud, data centers, managed services and other digital solutions, supporting the evolving needs of consumers, businesses and institutions.
As Pakistan enters its next chapter in technological progress, PTCL remains committed to evolving with the country by strengthening connectivity, advancing digital inclusion and using technology to create meaningful impact for its people.
