MALC Appreciates FLARE Magazine for Highlighting Its Healthcare and Social Impact

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC), one of Pakistan’s respected healthcare and social development institutions, has formally appreciated FLARE Magazine for featuring its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mervyn Francis Lobo, through an in-depth Q&A highlighting the organisation’s work, experience and commitment to inclusive healthcare and community development.

In an official appreciation letter addressed to Mr. Zubair Kasuri, Editor, FLARE Magazine, MALC thanked the magazine and its editorial team for providing a meaningful platform to share the organisation’s perspective, its longstanding service to communities and its vision for creating greater social impact in Pakistan.

Established in 1956, MALC became widely known for its pioneering work against leprosy and for its association with Dr. Ruth Pfau, whose decades-long contribution to healthcare and the fight against leprosy earned international recognition. Over the years, MALC’s role expanded beyond leprosy control to broader healthcare, rehabilitation, social inclusion and community development initiatives.
