CARBON DIOXIDE BEING USED TO TREAT STRETCH MARKS AND CELLULITE AND HAIRLOSS
Lahore, 31st October, 2017: Carboxytherapy – an FDA approved treatment for cellulite and stretch marks have entered into the Pakistani aesthetic industry. The therapy, which originated in French spas in 1930, uses infusion of carbon dioxide to treat stretch-marks, cellulite and under-eye circles.

  The non-invasive, no risk treatment is used on the face, eyelids, neck, stomach, arms, legs, and buttocks and aids in collagen repair and destruction of fatty deposits. It has almost no side effects as carbon dioxide – the major component of the therapy – is a naturally occurring gas in the body.Poor blood circulation plays a vital role in the appearance of cellulite and dark circles. Through Carboxytherapy, blood circulation is increased to the affected areas by injecting the gas. This procedure increases skin elasticity and reduces pigmentation and wrinkles. Many physicians also used this treatment to treat alopecia – a hair loss condition of the scalp.

 

“Carboxytherapy is relatively painless as the scar tissues do not have nerves. It is effective as it relies on increasing blood circulation to specific areas of the body; targeting the underlying cause of cellulite and stretch marks,” says Dr. Tauquir Ahmad, a UK trained cosmetologist now operating in Lahore.

 

The Carboxytherapy is a quick treatment that requires 15 to 20 minutes and depending upon the condition, a patient requires 7 to 10 treatments. The therapy is used extensively in Europe and UK and is extensively used to treat after-birth symptoms as well as erectile dysfunction, acute arthritis, Raynaud’s syndrome, and alopecia caused by poor blood circulation.
