In a necessary alteration for the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League PSL 9 season nine, Zimbabwean pacer Richard Ngarava has been enlisted as the replacement for English seamer Olly Stone in the Multan Sultans squad. Stone had to withdraw from PSL 9 due to an injury in his right groin sustained last month.

Richard Ngarava’s Track Record

Bringing in considerable experience, Richard Ngarava has showcased his bowling prowess by claiming 94 wickets in 88 T20 matches throughout his career. As Multan Sultans aim to maintain their top position on the points table, Ngarava’s addition brings depth to their bowling attack.

Olly Stone’s Injury Update

Olly Stone’s unfortunate injury occurred during his first match of PSL 9 against Islamabad United on February 20. The English speedster had to leave the field without completing the remaining two balls of his fourth over.

Multan Sultans’ Dominance

Multan Sultans, led by Mohammad Rizwan, have asserted their dominance in PSL 9, securing six wins in seven matches and already qualifying for the playoffs. As they gear up to face Peshawar Zalmi at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, the addition of Richard Ngarava aims to fortify their squad further.

Remaining PSL 9 Matches for Multan Sultans:

  • 5 March vs Peshawar Zalmi, Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
  • 10 March vs Islamabad United, Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
  • 12 March vs Quetta Gladiators, National Bank Stadium, Karachi
