Mortal Remains of Two Pakistani Migrants Arrive Home After Moroccan Boat Tragedy

PHALIA, PUNJAB, Special Report,Grief and sorrow have gripped the town of Phalia as the bodies of two young men, who tragically lost their lives in a recent boat accident off the coast of Morocco, have been returned to their families. The deceased have been identified as Hamid Shabbir, 26, from Masit Wali village, and Sajjad Ali, 20, from Kotli Qazi. Both men were attempting to reach Europe illegally in hopes of a better future.

The Janaza (funeral prayer) for Hamid Shabbir will be held in Masit Wali, while Sajjad Ali will be laid to rest in Kotli Qazi. The community is mourning the loss of these young lives and expressing their condolences to the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, the family of a third young man from the area, 22-year-old Ehsan from Seere village, who also perished in the same tragedy, is still awaiting the repatriation of his remains. The community is praying for the swift return of Ehsan’s body so that his family can also find closure.
This tragic incident has once again highlighted the perilous journeys undertaken by many young Pakistanis seeking opportunities abroad and the urgent need for addressing the root causes of such desperate measures.
