The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the schedule for Australia’s T20I tour of Pakistan, which will take place later this month. The series is an important part of preparation for both teams ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled in February.
According to the PCB, Australia will play a three-match T20 International series against Pakistan, with all matches hosted at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Match Dates and Timings
The three T20I matches will be played on the following dates:
The first T20I will be held on January 29
The second T20I will be played on January 31

Australia’s T20I squad is expected to arrive in Lahore on January 28, just one day before the opening match.
Important Preparation Ahead of T20 World Cup
PCB stated that the series will provide crucial match practice for both teams before the upcoming T20 World Cup. Pakistan is placed in Group A, while Australia will compete in Group B during the tournament.
With limited time left before the World Cup, this series will help players fine-tune their strategies, combinations, and match fitness.
Australia’s Recent Tours of Pakistan
This will be the third time Australia are touring Pakistan in recent years. Their previous tours include:
A full Test and ODI series in March–April 2022

Because of these frequent visits, Australian players are now familiar with Pakistani conditions, especially at Gaddafi Stadium.
