US Chargé d’Affaires visits iSelect by Airlink store in Lahore

LAHORE: US Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Pakistan Natalie A. Baker visited the iSelect by Airlink store at Dolmen Mall Lahore and appreciated the growing demand for iPhones and other technology products in the Pakistani market.

Airlink Communication Chief Executive Officer Muzzaffar Hayat Piracha and members of the company’s senior management welcomed the US diplomat and briefed her on the expanding iPhone market, availability of Apple products and after-sales services being offered to Pakistani consumers.

Baker described the increasing adoption of iPhones and growth of Pakistan’s mobile phone market as encouraging. The discussions also covered prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the United States in technology, trade and business.

Opportunities for US investment and local production of technology products in Pakistan were also discussed. It was observed that greater investment and localisation could create employment opportunities and contribute to stronger commercial relations between the two countries.

The US Chargé d’Affaires toured different sections of the Apple-authorised reseller store and received information about the iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and other products available there.

Business leaders, technology and mobile phone industry representatives, senior Airlink officials and other guests attended the event.
