Quetta Gladiators’ pacer, Mohammad Amir, extends his gratitude to newly-elected Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, for promptly addressing and resolving the misunderstanding that arose when his family faced mistreatment during a Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) season nine match in Multan.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Amir revealed that Maryam Nawaz personally reached out to him to discuss the matter, leading to the swift resolution of the issue. The cricketer had earlier accused the Deputy Commissioner of Multan of unjustly ejecting his family during the PSL match and arrogantly claiming ownership of the ground.
“All misunderstandings have been cleared by Deputy Commissioner Multan himself. I sincerely appreciate it and extend my best wishes to you as you embark on your new journey,” Amir conveyed in his message.
It is noteworthy that Mohammad Amir, who is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 9 after leaving Karachi Kings, had previously disclosed that he is not considering returning from international retirement. He expressed his enjoyment of league cricket, emphasizing the importance of playing an impactful role in T20 cricket.
Amir stated, “My effort is to make an impact in the match because having a complete impact is more crucial than merely taking wickets. If the team requires a bouncer at that moment, I will bowl a bouncer. My focus is not solely on taking wickets but on playing an impactful role in the match.”
The resolution of the misunderstanding with the Deputy Commissioner reflects the swift and effective communication between Mohammad Amir and Maryam Nawaz, highlighting the significance of addressing such issues promptly for a positive and harmonious environment in PSL 9.
