Samsung Pakistan Raises Flagship Smartphone Prices Amid Rising Chipset Costs

Islamabad, February 2026 — Samsung Pakistan has officially increased the retail prices of its flagship Galaxy S25 Series smartphones, becoming the first major brand this month to revise prices in the premium smartphone segment. The new prices apply to both the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra models across multiple storage variants.

According to market data, the price increase ranges between PKR 10,000 and PKR 30,000 depending on the model and storage configuration. In percentage terms, this represents an increase of around 2.47 percent to 6.35 percent. Retailers have already updated prices at major outlets, making the hike visible to consumers nationwide.

Company representatives and industry sources have attributed the increase mainly to a sharp rise in chipset costs. Officials explained that demand for advanced smartphone processors has surged significantly in China, creating a supply-demand imbalance. As a result, chipset prices in the Chinese market have gone up, directly affecting global procurement costs.

Since most smartphone brands rely heavily on Chinese manufacturing ecosystems for processors and other key components, higher input costs are now being passed on to consumers in Pakistan. This situation is not limited to Samsung alone. Market insiders reveal that other Chinese smartphone brands such as Infinix, Tecno, and Xiaomi are also preparing similar price adjustments within February, although official announcements are still pending.

Analysts believe Samsung’s early decision may set a trend for the rest of the premium smartphone market in Pakistan. With rising component costs and continued currency pressures, brands are trying to protect their profit margins while managing operational expenses. Industry experts expect broader price revisions across the smartphone sector in the coming weeks.

Retailers report that many consumers who were planning to upgrade their devices are now rushing to make purchases before further increases take effect. This behavior reflects growing concern that prices may continue to rise as long as global chipset shortages and manufacturing costs remain high.

The latest development highlights how global supply chain pressures are directly impacting Pakistan’s technology market. As demand for high-performance smartphones grows and production costs increase, consumers may need to prepare for higher prices across both premium and mid-range segments in the near future.
