10 Arrested for Illegal Activation of Mobile Phone SIMs

Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle has arrested 10 individuals involved in the illegal activation of mobile phone SIMs. The accused were arrested from various areas of Mingora, Batkhela, and Barikot.

According to FIA officials, the accused were involved in the illegal activation of mobile phone SIMs, violating the rules and regulations of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The accused had set up illegal activation centers in different areas, contrary to the designated areas allocated by the PTA.

During the raid, multiple illegal mobile phone SIMs and 11 BVSD devices were recovered from the accused. The FIA has initiated an investigation into the matter, and raids are being conducted to arrest other suspects involved in the illegal activity.

This crackdown on illegal mobile phone SIM activation is part of the FIA’s efforts to combat cybercrime and protect the country’s telecommunications system. The agency has warned that anyone found involved in such illegal activities will be dealt with strictly according to the law.
